About eOphtha

eOphtha was started as a blog in 2007 by Parthopratim Dutta Majumder to provide online access to the resources of ophthalmology, which was sparely available at that time. This transitioned to a website format in August 2008. Parthopratim single handedly designed the website and maintained it till January 2020. The objective of the eOphtha is to provide a portal where ophthalmologists, residents, fellows and optometrists would be able to access articles, PowerPoint presentations, blogs, question papers, etc. to help them learn and grow. The simplicity and creativity of the information provided on the website is what made it popular in the ophthalmology community. eOphtha remains an excellent resource for information in the field of ophthalmology and boasts of users not just from India but world over. The website has become a go to resource, especially amongst the trainees. eOphtha today is a result of continuous feedback, inputs from the readers and contributions from more than 250+ ophthalmologists across the world and this number is constantly growing. We welcome your feedback, contributions in the form of Articles, PowerPoint presentations, Short Reviews, Ophthalmic Cases, Question papers and Blogs. Feel free to write to us at eophtha@gmail.com. PowerPoints may be shared on eophthappt@gmail.com

The objective of the eOphtha is to make the process of learning for the residents, fellows and optometrists joyous. Team eOphtha believes sharing of knowledge is the key to gaining more knowledge
